What are the dates and times for your day camp this year?
July 7–11, 2025 | 9:00 AM–12:00 PM; please plan to arrive at 8:45am on the first day to allow sufficient time for registration.
How much does day camp cost?
We are pleased that our day camp is free; we see this program as a valuable gift to our local community.
Each child’s experience costs about $40 for the whole week, covering games, crafts, snacks, and faith-building moments they’ll never forget. If you would like to help us cover these costs, we have multiple ways you can make a donation. Your generosity makes it possible for us to offer this incredible week to every child who would like to join us!
Please consider paying it forward today! Donations in any amount can be made before or on the first day of camp:
- Credit Card – Visit FindSanctuary.ca/give and click “Online Giving” (also linked at the end of this form)
- Cheque – Payable to “The Sanctuary Lutheran Church”
- Cash – Collected at check-in
How do I register my child for day camp?
Register online HERE. If you have any questions or problems registering, please contact the church office at Connect@FindSanctuary.ca.
What ages can attend?
Children ages 4 years through Grade 5 (entering Grade 5 in September).
All children attending must be able to use the bathroom facilities without adult intervention. For the bathrooms that have adult-height sinks, step stools are provided to support proper hand washing technique.
How are the Christian elements being included?
During the opening, closing, and group times, there are skits, conversations, and songs that convey age-appropriate themes like: kindness, acceptance, love, forgiveness and peace. There are Biblical references to stories and parables that support these tenants of Jesus’ love.
What if my child has special needs?
We strive to be inclusive. Please contact us beforehand so we can determine what modifications are needed, if we can safely meet them, and then provide the best support and experience possible.
My child has a food allergy, will you be able to accommodate their restrictions?
You must declare their allergy during registration. If this is done in advance of them attending, most likely yes! As we prepare all snacks on site, we will make modifications based on your declared restrictions. Should we be unable to meet your specific needs, we will communicate that to you so you can send a suitable alternative for them.
What if I need to cancel?
No problem, life happens! Please contact our VBS Director, Jessica Krebs, at Jessica@FindSanctuary.ca.
What if someone else picks up my child?
Yes, if that person is not one of the alternates already declared on the registration form, they will need to be declared in writing to the Staff, in advance, and will need to present valid Photo ID upon arrival to collect your child.
What if there is inclement weather (i.e. heavy rain, heat or smoke)?
Staff and volunteers meet every day to discuss any changes to the schedule; decisions regarding outdoor activities will be made at the discretion of the Staff based on weather reports, UV index and Air Quality ratings.
What happens if my child gets sick or injured at camp?
Church Staff are trained to handle minor incidents, and will contact parents if necessary. We have a minimum of 2 Church staff onsite at all times that are trained in Emergency First Aid + CPR, for all ages.
What if my child loses something at camp?
Please ensure all items are labelled with your child’s name. We have a lost and found area and will announce items found at the end of each day during our closing time.
Any items that remain unclaimed one week after the day camp has concluded will be donated to a good will shop.
